Appirio was an information technology consulting company headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, that provided technology and professional services to help enterprises adopt public cloud applications, with deep specialization in Salesforce and Workday implementations. Founded in 2006, the company operated as a serverless business relying entirely on public cloud solutions. Appirio also owned Topcoder, a crowdsourcing marketplace connecting more than a million designers, developers and data scientists with customers (acquired in 2013 and merged with Appirio's CloudSpokes community). Appirio was acquired by Indian IT services firm Wipro for $500 million, with the deal announced in October 2016 and completed in November 2016. The Appirio brand was retired by Wipro in March 2021 and merged into Wipro's Salesforce practice.
