Biocon Biologics is a global biosimilars company headquartered in Bengaluru, India, and a wholly owned subsidiary of listed Biocon Limited. Incorporated in 2016, it develops, manufactures and commercializes biosimilar versions of complex biologic drugs for diabetes, cancer and autoimmune disease. In November 2022 it acquired partner Viatris Inc.'s global biosimilars business for USD 3.335 billion, giving it commercial reach across the US, Europe and emerging markets. Biocon Limited bought out Viatris' residual stake in early 2026 and the remaining minority holders on 29 June 2026, making Biocon Biologics wholly owned and ending plans for a separate listing.
