D2IQ

San Francisco, CA, USA Enterprise Software Acquired

D2IQ (formerly Mesosphere) was an enterprise cloud-native platform company providing Kubernetes management software for production-grade, multi-cluster, multi-cloud deployments. Founded in 2013 by Florian Leibert, Tobi Knaup, and Benjamin Hindman, the company built its early business around the Datacenter Operating System (DC/OS) on top of Apache Mesos, and later pivoted to focus on Kubernetes with its flagship D2iQ Kubernetes Platform (DKP). The company rebranded from Mesosphere to D2IQ in 2019 to reflect this strategic shift. D2IQ's platform was used by Global 2000 enterprises and U.S. federal agencies for managing containerized workloads at scale. In December 2023, Nutanix acquired the assets of D2IQ, folding DKP into its portfolio as the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP).
