Diligent Robotics is an Austin, Texas based healthcare robotics company that develops Moxi, an AI-powered mobile manipulation robot designed to assist hospital clinical staff with non-patient-facing tasks such as delivering medications, lab samples, supplies, and equipment. Founded in 2017 by social robotics researchers Andrea Thomaz and Vivian Chu, Diligent's Moxi robots have been deployed in more than 25 U.S. hospital facilities and have completed more than 1.25 million autonomous deliveries. In January 2026, Diligent Robotics was acquired by Nasdaq-listed Serve Robotics in a stock transaction valued at approximately $29 million, and now operates as a healthcare-focused subsidiary of Serve under co-founder and CEO Andrea Thomaz.
