Drizly

Boston, Massachusetts, United States Consumer Acquired

Drizly was a Boston-based on-demand alcohol marketplace founded in 2012 by Nick Rellas, Justin Robinson, and Spencer Frazier (later Cory Rellas). It connected consumers with local licensed retailers to order beer, wine, and spirits for delivery, operating in more than 1,400 cities across the majority of U.S. states at its peak. Uber agreed to acquire Drizly in February 2021 for approximately $1.1 billion in stock and cash, closing the deal in October 2021. After failing to fully integrate the standalone Drizly experience into Uber Eats, Uber announced in January 2024 that it would wind down Drizly, with the consumer-facing service shutting down on March 28, 2024.
