Founded in April 2016 by Jim Summers and partners with backing from EIV Capital and co-investors, the company built a system of 250+ miles of pipe, ~4 million barrels of storage capacity, and access to over 900,000 barrels/day of disposal capacity across a ~400 square mile footprint in the Midland Basin in Texas. The company grew via greenfield development, long-term water services agreements (with operators including Encana, Legacy Reserves, Sabalo Energy, and Sinclair Oil & Gas), and strategic acquisitions. In September 2024, Delek Logistics Partners (NYSE: DKL) closed its acquisition of H2O Midstream from EIV Capital for total consideration of $230 million ($160M cash plus $70M convertible preferred equity).
