EndoGastric Solutions is a Redmond, Washington-based medical device company that develops and commercializes incisionless surgical technologies for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Its flagship EsophyX device is used to perform the Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF 2.0) procedure, an endoscopic, anatomy-restoring alternative to laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication that reconstructs the gastroesophageal valve to restore the body's natural anti-reflux barrier. The original EsophyX device received FDA clearance in 2007, with subsequent generations (EsophyX Z in 2015 and EsophyX Z+) expanding the platform. The TIF 2.0 procedure is supported by extensive clinical evidence including the TEMPO trial and is a covered Medicare benefit. EndoGastric Solutions' assets were acquired by Merit Medical Systems (NASDAQ: MMSI) on July 1, 2024 for approximately $105 million in cash, with the EsophyX Z+ platform now marketed under Merit Medical's endoscopy portfolio.
