Founded in 2008 by Andrey Zarur and headquartered in Medford, Massachusetts, the company listed on Nasdaq as GRNA via a February 2022 SPAC merger, then was taken private in July 2023 by a consortium led by Fall Line Endurance Fund for $45.5 million. It now operates privately, with research sites in Spain and North Carolina.
