Helix Health is an Irish healthcare technology company founded in 2006 through the merger of Medicom (founded 1996) and other practice management software providers. It is best known for Helix Practice Manager (HPM), one of four GPIT-accredited GP practice management systems in Ireland, continuously certified since 1999, and Helix Pharmacy software. The company was acquired in October 2014 by US-based Eli Global (owned by Greg Lindberg) for a reported €45 million via Triton Financial Ltd. Following the acquisition, founder Howard Beggs created the Clanwilliam Group as the parent holding entity, and Helix Health was rebranded as Clanwilliam Health. The product still operates under the Helix brand serving GPs, practice managers, and pharmacies across Ireland with connectivity to HSE infrastructure for chronic disease management, IHI validation, e-referrals, and e-prescriptions. Clanwilliam Group was sold to TA Associates in March 2025 in a ~$450M LBO.
