Hopin

London, United Kingdom Events Technology / Video Streaming Software Acquired

Hopin was a UK-founded virtual events platform launched in 2019 by Johnny Boufarhat. It scaled rapidly during the COVID-19 pandemic and reached a peak valuation of approximately $7.75B in August 2021 after raising over $1B across multiple rounds. In August 2023 Hopin divested its core Events and Session products to RingCentral (initial $15M cash with up to $35M earn-out, total potential ~$50M), retaining StreamYard, Streamable and Superwave. In April 2024 the remaining business (StreamYard Top Corp / Hopin) was acquired by Italian consumer-app holding company Bending Spoons.
