Humane was an AI-focused consumer electronics company founded by ex-Apple designers Imran Chaudhri and Bethany Bongiorno. The company developed the Humane AI Pin, a wearable voice-operated device positioned as a smartphone alternative, featuring AI-powered ambient computing capabilities. In February 2025, HP acquired most of Humane's assets for $116 million, discontinuing the AI Pin device while integrating the company's AI platform and talent into HP's new HP IQ division.
