The company's flagship product is the Hunter Real-Time-PCR system, a portable and affordable qPCR platform designed for on-site pathogen and species identification. InstantLabs sold a controlling stake to Angeon Group in February 2017 and was subsequently acquired by Canadian microbiology measurement firm LuminUltra Technologies on September 19, 2018, after which it continued operating from its Baltimore base as part of LuminUltra's diagnostics portfolio.
