Level Home

Redwood City, California, United States Hardware Acquired

Level Home, Inc. is a smart home technology company best known for the Level Lock, a smart lock engineered to be invisible by embedding its electronics inside the deadbolt to preserve a door's existing design. Founded in 2016 in Redwood City, California, by ex-Apple/Nest veterans John Martin and Ken Goto, Level designs hardware (Level Lock, Level Lock Pro, Level Bolt, Level Keypad, Level Connect) and built a multifamily smart home platform (Level M). In September 2024, ASSA ABLOY acquired Level's Level Lock hardware business, IP, and brand, which now operates as an independent subsidiary; the multifamily platform was spun off as Ambient Property Technologies.
