Messari is a crypto market intelligence platform providing institutional-grade research, asset profiles, on-chain and market data, APIs and AI tools across more than 40,000 digital assets, used by funds, exchanges, custodians, brokerages and fintechs. Founded in 2018 by Ryan Selkis, it built a B2B SaaS business around crypto research and fundraising data. After three rounds of layoffs since 2023 and two changes of chief executive, Messari was acquired by crypto data and media company Blockworks in June 2026 and now operates as part of Blockworks.
