Mighty Buildings was an Oakland, California construction technology company that 3D-printed prefabricated homes and accessory dwelling units. Founded in 2017 and launched from stealth in August 2020, it used robotics, automation and a proprietary UV-cured composite called Light Stone to produce modular units off-site. After a January 2025 restructuring and mass layoffs, the whole company was put up for sale through Rock Creek Advisors. LUMUS INC. subsequently acquired the full suite of Mighty Buildings' technologies, and Mighty Buildings now operates as a LUMUS brand selling prefabricated wall systems rather than as an independent company.
