Movella is a full-stack provider of sensors, software, and analytics that enable the digitization of human movement, and operates the Xsens motion capture brand. Its proprietary inertial measurement units (IMUs), combined with sensor-fusion algorithms and biomechanical models, deliver full-body motion capture in any environment without line-of-sight requirements. Applications span entertainment (film, VFX, gaming), sports analytics, health and rehabilitation, and automation and mobility including humanoid robotics. The business was built by mCube, which acquired Xsens in 2017 and rebranded as Movella in 2021; since May 2025 it has been wholly owned by Francisco Partners.
