Its document checks and biometric face matching are used by banks, fintechs, e-commerce platforms, gaming operators and marketplaces to detect identity fraud and meet regulatory obligations. Entrust Corporation acquired Onfido in April 2024, and the product line is now sold as Entrust IDV within Entrust's identity security portfolio.
