Opus Energy is a UK business energy supplier providing electricity and gas to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the United Kingdom. Founded in 2002, the company sourced renewable energy from wind, solar, hydro, and anaerobic digestion generators. Acquired by Drax Group in February 2017 for £367 million, Opus Energy became a subsidiary of the FTSE-listed energy company. The company was the second-largest provider of business gas in the UK and fifth-largest for business electricity before its customer base was sold to EDF Energy and PE.
