The company also ran the POPSUGAR Must Have subscription box (discontinued in 2020) and the Beauty by POPSUGAR makeup line. Backed by Sequoia Capital and Institutional Venture Partners, POPSUGAR was acquired by Group Nine Media in an all-stock deal in 2019; Group Nine was subsequently merged into Vox Media in 2022, making Vox Media the current owner.
