PosiGen was a residential solar and energy efficiency provider focused on serving low-to-moderate income (LMI) homeowners. Founded in 2011 in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the company offered no-credit-check solar leases bundled with energy efficiency upgrades, growing to one of the largest LMI-focused rooftop solar platforms in the United States. PosiGen filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November 2025; substantially all of its assets were acquired by Brookfield Asset Management via a credit bid, with the residential solar portfolio subsequently transferred to Renewbrook Energy and SunStrong Management in February 2026.
