Railsr (formerly Railsbank) is a London-based embedded finance platform providing Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) and Cards-as-a-Service (CaaS) infrastructure that lets brands and businesses embed financial products such as cards, digital wallets, and payments into their own applications via APIs. Founded in 2016, the company grew into a near-unicorn before entering a pre-pack administration in March 2023, when it was rescued by a consortium led by D Squared Capital trading as Embedded Finance Limited. In April 2025 Railsr completed a merger with Equals Group (Equals Money) in a transaction backed by TowerBrook Capital Partners and J.C. Flowers, creating one of Europe's largest embedded finance providers operating under co-CEOs.
