ReNew Power Ventures Investment FAQ

ReNew Power Ventures FAQ

ReNew has traded on the Nasdaq Global Select Market as ReNew Energy Global plc (RNW) since 24 August 2021, after its business combination with the SPAC RMG Acquisition Corporation II. On 11 August 2026 it agreed to be taken private by a consortium of CPP Investments, its majority shareholder, and founder, chairman and CEO Sumant Sinha at US$7.02 per share in cash (a deal reported at about US$10.2 billion enterprise value), with non-consortium shareholders able to elect to roll over instead. The deal is a UK scheme of arrangement and a Schedule 13E-3 transaction statement has since been filed with the SEC; it still needs approval at the court meeting, UK court sanction and regulatory clearances, and is expected to complete in the first quarter of 2027, after which the shares would be delisted from Nasdaq. An earlier take-private attempt lapsed in December 2025 when Masdar withdrew. As of 12 October 2026 the shares remain listed and the acquisition has not closed.
