Safim is a Modena, Italy-based manufacturer of highly engineered hydraulic and electro-hydraulic braking system components for off-highway vehicles, including agricultural, construction and material handling equipment. Founded in 1977 by the Mamei family, the company produces valves, master cylinders, brake pumps and complementary components used by leading OEMs. Safim operates manufacturing facilities in Modena (Italy) and Pune (India), with subsidiaries in Germany (Safim Deutschland, including OMNI Hydraulik Ritter), France, and the United States. The company was backed by Italian sustainability-focused private equity firm Ambienta SGR before being acquired in September 2019 by DexKo Global Inc. (a KPS Capital Partners portfolio company), where it is integrated within the AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group.
