Sagely Naturals

Sagely Naturals is a Santa Monica-based CBD wellness brand founded in 2015 by Kaley Nichol and Kerrigan Behrens, marketed as the largest female-founded CBD company in the United States. The brand develops broad-spectrum CBD-infused topicals, creams, roll-ons, oil tinctures, capsules, and skincare formulated with botanicals such as essential oils and menthol, targeted primarily at women seeking everyday wellness, pain relief, and recovery solutions. Its products achieved mass distribution in more than 14,000 retail locations nationwide, including drugstore and natural-channel chains. The founders initially bootstrapped the company with roughly $30,000 of their own capital and later raised seed funding from investors including BAM Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, 1843 Capital, Alpha Edison, and JUMP Investors. In May 2021, HempFusion Wellness Inc. (TSX: CBD.U) signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of Sagely Enterprises for initial consideration of $25 million (split between $2 million cash and ~22.5 million HempFusion common shares), plus an earnout of up to $5 million tied to revenue targets; the transaction closed on July 7, 2021. In 2023, GABY Inc. agreed to acquire HempFusion and its subsidiaries, bringing Sagely Naturals under GABY's ownership alongside HempFusion and Apothecanna.
