SJ Semiconductor (SJSemi, 盛合晶微) is a Chinese middle-end-of-line pure-play foundry providing 12-inch wafer-level advanced packaging and test services. Founded in Jiangyin, Jiangsu in August 2014 as a SMIC-JCET joint venture, it began with wafer bumping and redistribution-layer processing and now mass-produces 2.5D and 3D multi-die (chiplet) integration for smartphones, 5G, HPC, data centres and automotive. It leads mainland China in 12-inch bumping, 12-inch WLCSP and wafer test revenue. SMIC and JCET exited in 2021; China's 'Big Fund' is a major shareholder. Added to the U.S. Entity List in 2020.
