SpaceX is public. Its registration statement was declared effective on June 11, 2026 and the IPO priced that day at $135.00 per Class A share; the stock began trading on Nasdaq (and Nasdaq Texas) under the ticker SPCX on June 12, 2026. The base deal of 555.6 million shares raised $75.0 billion; with the underwriters' over-allotment fully exercised the company sold 638.9 million shares for roughly $86.25 billion gross and $85.675 billion net of $575 million of commissions and offering costs (Form 10-Q filed August 4, 2026) — the largest IPO in history, at an IPO-price valuation of roughly $1.77 trillion. SPCX opened at $150 and closed its first session near $161 (+19%), peaked at a $211.39 closing high on June 16 (intraday above $225), then gave the gains back, trading around $115-$126 in early August 2026, below the offer price. Its first post-IPO results, for Q2 2026 reported August 4, 2026, showed revenue of $7.81 billion (up 92% year over year across the Space, Connectivity and AI segments) and a $541 million net loss, with $18.4 billion of capital expenditures that pushed the shares down sharply; an IPO lock-up expiry on August 6, 2026 is expected to multiply the tradable float. Separately, SpaceX signed an Agreement and Plan of Merger on June 16, 2026 with X67 Inc. and Anysphere, Inc. (Cursor) to acquire Cursor in an all-stock deal at an implied Cursor equity value of $60.0 billion, with the exchange ratio set on SpaceX's seven-day VWAP before closing. That merger had NOT closed as of August 5, 2026; the company expects it to close during the third quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
