ThousandEyes is a network intelligence and digital experience monitoring platform that provides visibility into the performance of networks, applications, and services across the internet, cloud, and enterprise environments. Founded in 2010 by Mohit Lad and Ricardo Oliveira from work that began at UCLA's Internet Research Lab, the company built a SaaS platform that maps internet paths, measures network conditions, and helps enterprises troubleshoot issues across third-party networks they do not own. ThousandEyes was acquired by Cisco in August 2020 for a reported price of around $1 billion and now operates as Cisco's Networking Assurance business unit.
