Trench Plate Rental Co. (TPRC), founded in 1979 and headquartered in Downey, California, is a leading U.S. provider of trench safety equipment rental and shoring solutions to the underground construction and infrastructure industries. Its portfolio includes road plates, trench boxes, hydraulic shoring, slide rails, manholes, beams, guide frames and sheeting, along with safety and training services. A separate TPR-Traffic Solutions division offers traffic control equipment rentals. In June 2019 TPRC acquired Trench Shoring Services (TSS), expanding to roughly 34 branches and 9,000+ customers across the U.S. In April 2021, Tailwind Capital merged its portfolio companies National Trench Safety (NTS), TPRC and Support of Excavation (SOE) to form a pure-play trench safety platform operating under the NTS brand, led by Phil Mason as president and CEO. TPRC continues to operate as a brand within the combined NTS organization.
