Tubulis

Planegg-Martinsried, Germany Biotechnology Acquired

Tubulis is a Munich-based clinical-stage biotechnology company developing next-generation antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) for solid tumors. It combines proprietary P5 and Alco5 conjugation chemistry with Tubutecan payloads to build ultra-stable, homogeneous ADCs. Lead candidate TUB-040 targets NaPi2b in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer and lung adenocarcinoma; TUB-030 targets 5T4. Founded in 2019 as a spin-off from the Leibniz Research Institute for Molecular Pharmacology (FMP) in Berlin and Ludwig Maximilians University (LMU) in Munich, Tubulis was acquired by Gilead Sciences in May 2026 for $3.15 billion upfront plus up to $1.85 billion in milestones, and now operates as The Tubulis ADC Innovation Center.
