UberMedia (later rebranded UM) was a Pasadena-based mobile location data and analytics company founded in 2010 by Bill Gross of Idealab. Originally a social media app developer (Echofon, UberSocial, TweetDeck rival), it pivoted under CEO Gladys Kong into ad attribution and location intelligence, serving advertising, market research, and financial services clients. In April 2021 it was acquired by Near Intelligence and became Near Americas, headquartered in Pasadena.
