Vauban is a London-based fintech company that provides a digital platform for venture capital firms, angel investors, and syndicates to set up, manage, and administer Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and funds. The platform automates fund formation, legal documentation, capital calls, KYC/AML, investor onboarding, and ongoing fund administration, making private investing faster and more cost-effective. By the time of its acquisition by Carta in 2022, Vauban had become the de facto venture platform in the UK, having created over 400 investment vehicles and managed more than $1B in invested capital across its platform. Vauban was acquired by Carta in November 2022 (announced June 2022) and has since been rebranded under the Carta umbrella, with its London-based team continuing to operate as Carta's global SPV and fund administration arm for UK and EU markets.
