Veev was a California-based construction technology company founded in 2008 by Amit Haller, Ami Avrahami and Dafna Akiva. The company developed a proprietary, vertically integrated prefabricated panel home building system, producing wall, floor and ceiling components with electrical and plumbing pre-installed for on-site assembly. Veev aimed to address the U.S. housing shortage by accelerating residential construction with factory-built panels using a high-performance surface material in place of drywall. After raising approximately $600 million over four rounds and reaching unicorn valuation in 2022, Veev initiated an Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors (ABC) wind-down process in November 2023 following the abrupt cancellation of a planned capital raise. Lennar, its largest strategic investor via LenX, acquired Veev's remaining assets in December 2023 for a fraction of prior valuation and now operates Veev as a wholly owned subsidiary focused on efficient, sustainable homebuilding.
