Virgin Mobile CEE (operating as Virgin Mobile Polska) is the largest and longest-operating mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in Poland. Launched in late 2012 as a Virgin Group brand licensee targeting Central and Eastern Europe, the company built its subscriber base on the Play (P4) network infrastructure, offering both prepaid and post-paid mobile services with a focus on transparent pricing and youth-oriented marketing. The CEE platform originally planned multi-market expansion (including a Turkey launch funded by a 2014 EUR40m round), but operations consolidated around the Polish business. After receiving financial support from Play beginning in 2018, Virgin Mobile Polska was fully acquired by Play (P4 Sp. z o.o.) on 9 August 2020 for EUR13.4m (PLN59m) on a cash- and debt-free basis. The brand has been retained and continues to operate within the Play Communications / iliad group, serving customers via the Play network with 5G access and the Play24 app integration.
