Founded by four MIT students in 2022, it raised a $2.3 billion Series D at a $29.3 billion valuation and passed $4 billion annualized revenue by June 2026. SpaceX completed its $60 billion all-stock acquisition of the company on 14 August 2026; Cursor now operates as a wholly owned SpaceX subsidiary.
