Sequence (Blockchain)

Toronto, Ontario, Canada Web3 / Blockchain Infrastructure Acquired

Sequence (formerly Horizon Blockchain Games) is a Toronto-based web3 infrastructure company providing an all-in-one developer platform and smart wallet for building blockchain games and applications across Ethereum, Polygon and other EVM chains. Founded in 2017 by Peter Kieltyka, Ian Ha, William Hua, Daniel Racca and Michael Sanders, the company offers smart contract wallets (account abstraction), NFT minting, indexers, marketplaces, transaction relayers and Unity/Unreal SDKs. In April 2025 the parent company rebranded from Horizon to Sequence and acquired chain-abstraction startup Light to unify the EVM ecosystem. In January 2026 Polygon Labs announced a definitive agreement to acquire Sequence (together with Coinme) for more than $250 million combined, as the foundation of Polygon's Open Money Stack for regulated stablecoin payments.
